Have you ever experienced jealousy? 💚
If you’re a human and not a robot 🤖, the answer is definitely a yes.
The funny thing about being human is that we can be absolutely incredible in a lot of ways, but we are still bound to make mistakes and experience feelings of pain, insecurity, heartbreak, etc.
This can be one of the most powerful ways to be connected through others. Through shared suffering. ❤️ Through empathy and this idea that we have experienced similar situations and felt similar hurt.
🔥This is where we foster compassion.
🩹But guess what, you don’t only have to connect through struggling.
🕊️You can also connect through shared joy.
👉 Shared Joy, ‘Mudita’ or sympathetic joy is the idea of being happy for others’ joy.
Think about this. . .
You’re happy when someone you love is happy, right?
💡What if you could expand that same happiness for others’ joy to everyone else you know?
💡What if you could expand it to the beings you don’t know…
I’d say if you were successful you would be pretty happy, considering billions of living things inhabit our shared land. 🌎
🔑Join me in this short meditation practice of sharing sympathetic joy for others to crack open the door to a more compassionate and peaceful place for us.
